Lake Canobolas Pumping Station.

From Engineering Heritage New South Wales

A dam was built on Molong Creek in 1918 to increase the water supply to Orange. Because the dam was lower than the town a pumping station driven by a gas-producer engine was required. The scheme has been superseded and the lake given over to recreational uses, but the pumping station has survived intact and in an operable condition. It is a rare example of the transition technology between steam-driven and electric-motor-driven machinery.
